Overview
ETGO is a personal finance application designed to simplify expense management by turning paper and digital receipts into meaningful financial insights. Instead of manually organizing purchases across different sources, users can manage receipts, monitor spending, discover personalized offers, and collaborate on shared expenses from one centralized platform.
Problem
People receive purchase information from paper receipts, email confirmations, payment apps, and loyalty programs. This fragmented experience makes it difficult to track spending, find receipts, monitor budgets, and manage shared expenses with confidence.
Goal
The objective was to design an intuitive platform that automatically organizes receipts, visualizes spending, supports collaboration, and surfaces personalized savings opportunities while keeping the experience simple and approachable.

Receipt management
Users struggle to organize and retrieve receipts after purchases.
Limited spending visibility
Many users know how much they spend but not where their money goes.

Recording expenses manually becomes time-consuming and inconsistent.

Offers and discounts are frequently overlooked because they are disconnected from purchase history.
Design Process
Information Architecture
The product structure was designed around the most common user activities, ensuring that receipts, expenses, offers, and collaboration remained easy to discover while reducing unnecessary navigation.
User Flow
User flows focused on minimizing friction while guiding users from receipt capture to meaningful financial insights in as few steps as possible.
Wireframes
Low-fidelity wireframes were used to explore navigation patterns, hierarchy, and interaction flows before moving into polished UI design.
Visual Design
The visual language emphasizes simplicity, spacious layouts, and clear visual hierarchy to make financial information easier to scan and understand.
Design System
A scalable design system was created using reusable components, typography, spacing, colors, and interaction patterns to ensure consistency across the product.

Reflection
Working on ETGO strengthened my approach to simplifying complex financial workflows through thoughtful interaction design, structured information architecture, and scalable design systems. It also highlighted the value of continuous iteration and close collaboration throughout the product development process.
