Overview
Sound Medicine is a wellness-focused mobile application designed to improve mental well-being through therapeutic audio experiences. The platform combines guided sound sessions, personalized recommendations, onboarding, and subscription-based content into a seamless mobile experience that encourages relaxation, focus, and long-term engagement.
Problem
Many wellness applications provide extensive audio libraries but fail to create a calming user experience. Users often struggle with confusing navigation, cluttered interfaces, and difficulty finding the right content for their needs. The challenge was to design an experience that allows users to discover therapeutic audio quickly while minimizing cognitive load.
Goal
The objective was to design a wellness platform that simplifies content discovery, supports personalized recommendations, and delivers a calming listening experience while maintaining intuitive navigation and subscription management.

Research focused on how users discover wellness content, maintain healthy listening habits, and interact with digital wellness products. The findings emphasized the importance of personalization, simplicity, and distraction-free experiences that encourage consistent daily engagement.

Information Architecture
The platform architecture was designed around common listening behaviors, ensuring that onboarding, personalized recommendations, categories, playback, subscriptions, and user profiles remained easy to navigate while minimizing unnecessary complexity.
User Flow
User flows were designed to reduce friction across onboarding, personalization, content discovery, playback, subscriptions, and account management, creating a smooth experience that encourages repeat engagement.
Wireframes

Reflection
Working on Sound Medicine strengthened my understanding of designing wellness-focused digital products that balance usability, accessibility, and emotional design. The project highlighted how thoughtful information architecture, intuitive interactions, and calming visual systems can help users build healthier habits while making digital wellness experiences feel effortless and engaging.
